"FLATBED" LAMINATING

In case of laminations on the "FLATBED" type line, solid glue is introduced between the combined raw materials, and then the whole is fed into the machine, where first the heating and then the cooling of the laminate takes place.

Heating is used to activate the adhesive, convert it from solid into liquid (and at the same time sticky), whilst cooling - to accelerate the return of the adhesive to a solid form, preventing laminate stratification at the exit of the machine. Lamination on the FLATBED machine can be carried out in several ways, using adhesives in various forms: film, powder, web, or coating.

The films can be composed of both adhesive, or adhesive plus barrier layers. Powders are applied from a scatterer onto one of the materials fed. Web is a type of nonwoven fabric made of thermoplastic polymer fibers. They can have a very low weight, in the order of 8g / m2, while maintaining a high uniformity of distribution on the surface.

The advantages of the process: - no emission of smoke as well as other products resulting from combustion;
- the possibility of combining raw materials without the use of polyurethane foam
- possibility of lamination not only in the area but also in individual shapes.

The working width of our "FLATBED" laminating line is 2100mm.
